Brad Pitt’s parents are struggling to understand why Angelina Jolie has punished them in this way. For the past eight years, they haven’t been able to see their grandchildren—both adopted and biological children that Brad and Angelina raised together before their divorce. According to an insider close to Brad’s parents, Jolie has isolated them from the children.
Before Angelina decided to divorce Brad, 84-year-old Jane and 83-year-old Bill Pitt were very close to their grandchildren. The children often visited them at their home in Missouri for long stays. However, since September 2016, they have been unable to see or even speak to Maddox, Pax Thien, Zahara, Shiloh, or the twins Knox and Vivienne. Jolie reportedly prohibited the children from communicating with Brad’s parents. It seems that she used the same tactic against them that she employed with Brad. Jolie reportedly turned all six children against their father to the point where none of them wish to speak to him. This is not just speculation—this was confirmed in court by one of Brad and Angelina’s former employees, Tony Webb. During a lengthy legal battle over the Château Miraval property last year, Webb testified that he overheard Angelina persuading the children not to see their father.
According to the insider, Jane and Bill are deeply upset by their inability to connect with their grandchildren. They had once welcomed Angelina into their home with open arms and spoke publicly about how proud they were of their daughter-in-law for raising adopted children. Angelina, in turn, had praised Brad’s parents in interviews, speaking of how kind they were to her. But now, all of that seems forgotten. Given their age, Jane and Bill fear they may never see any of their grandchildren again.
