OMG! Tom Holland really did get down on one knee!! Pause while we all freak the f**k out!
As Perezcious readeres know, Zendaya had everyone talking when she hit the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday wearing a stunning and HUGE diamond ring on that finger. It wasn’t clear at first if it was a real engagement ring or just some fun jewelry, but TMZ confirmed on Monday that the actors really did get engaged!
According to sources close to the couple, the Uncharted alum asked Zendaya to marry him sometime between Christmas and New Year’s. True to their private nature, he didn’t do anything over the top. Instead, he got down on one knee in an intimate setting in one of his partner’s family homes in the US. Her family wasn’t even there for the special moment, it was just the two of them. Aw. We’re sure it was so romantic!
The couple has been publicly together since 2021 after meeting on Spider-Man: Homecoming. Despite the exciting proposal, don’t expect the pair to be walking down the aisle soon. The sources noted that they are both super busy with upcoming projects, so it’ll be a bit before they start wedding planning. There’s no rush. This is still awesome for them!
While this news is a shocker, Tom did previously tease his big holiday plans. Back in a mid-December episode of the Dish podcast, the English actor said:
“I am gonna be in America this year. I’ll be with my girlfriend’s family, which will be fun. […] Where we’ll be is a secret. … [Secret] to you guys. I’ll know where we’re going.”
He also opened up about how they wanted to start bringing their families together. Now we know why that was so top of mind!

The ring appears to be a 5.02-carat East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring by Jessica McCormack. Some reports have claimed it’s estimated to be worth around $200,000, but Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro, says:
