Pitt revealed details of Angelina Jolie’s secret operation to sell their former shared castle

Amid the ongoing legal battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, new details have emerged regarding the sale of Château Miraval, which Brad considers to be unlawful. According to a source, Pitt has filed a new set of documents related to the controversial sale, in which he accuses Jolie of outright deception. In these documents, Brad, who is now in a serious relationship with Ines de Ramon, also reveals how and for what amount Jolie sold her share of the property.

Pitt claims that in early 2021, he and Jolie, who had previously co-owned the castle, began discussions about Jolie selling her stake to him at her initiative. According to the actor, they had a clear agreement that if Jolie ever wished to sell her part of the property, she was required to offer it to him first. He had the right of first refusal. Pitt even made her a generous offer of $54.4 million.

However, shortly after negotiations began, Jolie suddenly lost interest. What Pitt later discovered was that she had already started talks with a third party—oligarch Yuri Shefler, the owner of the Stoli Group. While Brad’s team was working on new proposals to entice Jolie, she secretly sold her share to Shefler.

Furthermore, as Pitt uncovered, Jolie had insisted that Shefler sign an agreement to keep the transaction confidential. According to the newly revealed documents, Jolie received $64 million for the sale. As for Brad, he didn’t learn about the transaction until September 2021, and Jolie never bothered to personally inform him about the change in ownership of half the château and winery. He only found out through another batch of legal documents related to their ongoing litigation. Brad is confident that the violations in this case give him grounds to have the deal declared illegal and potentially reversed.
