Beyoncé’s mother has joined the list of celebrities who have lost their properties due to a natural disaster in California. Tina revealed that fire had destroyed her beachfront home in Malibu. Since Tuesday, the area has been hit by the most powerful hurricanes in the past decade, sparking fires that have wiped out thousands of buildings.
The fire occurred after Knowles celebrated her 71st birthday at her country residence on January 4. “This was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred happy place. Now it’s gone!” the stage star’s mother lamented.
The designer posted a video showing the ocean view from her home’s terrace, where dolphins were swimming at that moment. She also thanked emergency responders. “This is what I was looking at last weekend on my birthday from my water bungalow in Malibu! God bless all the brave men and women from our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions. We thank you for your selflessness and courage, as well as for saving so many lives. It could have been much worse if it weren’t for the dedication of the rescuers and emergency personnel,” Knowles shared.
Jay-Z’s mother-in-law also reached out to those who lost loved ones and were left homeless due to the disaster. “I am so sorry for those who lost family members. I am praying for you! For those who lost their homes and possessions, I can only imagine what it’s like to lose everything you have! I am praying for you with all my heart. I can’t imagine the pain, suffering, and fear you’re going through… I am fervently praying for our beautiful city of Los Angeles! We are strong, and we will recover! And this too shall pass.”
