In March of this year, Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, announced that she had to temporarily step back from her royal duties due to health issues. Later, she revealed that she had undergone an extended course of chemotherapy and had only recently completed her treatment. Starting in September, Kate gradually returned to her public engagements, impressing everyone with her radiant appearance.
Recently, the British press revisited the initial royal statement about the discovery of precancerous cells in Middleton, noting that she was undergoing a preventive treatment course. However, many Britons were confused about why, according to her own statements, Kate seemed to have taken such a long and difficult time to recover. Journalists reached out to a medical expert, who cast doubt on Kate’s illness, fueling further skepticism. “Either there are precancerous cells or cancer,” the specialist said.
A source suggested that Prince William and Kate may have exaggerated the illness story to conceal serious issues in their marriage.
Kate is unlikely to respond to such accusations, as discussing rumors would violate royal protocol. However, today she broke her silence by publicly wishing her father-in-law, King Charles III, a happy 76th birthday. Interestingly, the king also received treatment for cancer this year, but despite his age, he reportedly recovered much more easily than his daughter-in-law.
“Happy birthday to His Majesty,” Middleton wrote on social media.
It’s likely that she also wished him a personal happy birthday, as did William. The question, however, remains whether Prince Harry, their younger son, called his father — a matter still unclear.
