There’s no way Jennifer Lopez knew about the dark side of Diddy! That’s at least what a former colleague is saying.
Thea de Sousa, a Hollywood insider known for her early work on projects like Seinfeld and J.Lo’s 2002 film Maid in Manhattan, opened up on Threads recently about the movie star’s romantic history with Diddy — and whether or not she believes the pop star knew about his misconduct. Spoiler alert: she doesn’t! And she swears by that! She fiercely defended Jen, saying:
“If you knew Jennifer Lopez, if you ever worked with her like I did, or if you were close with people who are like family to her like I am, you would know she did not have any idea about Diddy.”
The Jenny from the Block singer and the disgraced rapper dated on and off between 1999 and 2001. She hasn’t been accused of anything, but she was there on one night in particular when Diddy is accused of assaulting a 13-year-old girl. To be clear, no one is saying she was present for any alleged crimes, just that she was with Diddy earlier that night. But of course many are left to wonder if she was dating him… what did she see? What did she know?
Thea firmly maintains J.Lo did NOT have anything to do with any of it — partially because she has always led a much different lifestyle than the Bad Boy Records founder:
“She barely drinks, she is not a partier, she isn’t a good time girl, she is a workaholic who uplifts woman and who was charmed by him for a brief time in her life.”
Rough dude to get charmed by… We bet she wishes she hadn’t been so beguiled right about now. (Heck, by him OR Ben Affleck tbh…)
Thea argued the On the Floor singer “does not deserve to be conflated with [Diddy’s] shocking and criminal misdeeds.” Fair enough, considering there have been no actual accusations against her. And LOTS of folks have been in Diddy’s social circles at some point.
Anyway, this was certainly a positive testimony for J.Lo… for a while anyway. Innerestingly, it appears as though Thea has since deleted the post from her account. Maybe Jen didn’t approve? Because as of now, the 55-year-old has actively avoided commenting on the ongoing Diddy scandal.
