Hugh Jackman’s Children Feel Guilty About Interacting with His New Girlfriend😲😓

A year ago, Oscar-nominated Hugh Jackman separated from his wife of 27 years, 69-year-old Deborra-Lee Furness. The couple, who adopted two children after several miscarriages—24-year-old Oscar and 19-year-old Ava—have been close to their kids, making their divorce a painful experience for the entire family. Both children are adjusting to spending time separately with each parent and are struggling with feelings of guilt about their relationship with their father’s new girlfriend, Sutton Foster. Oscar and Ava are also trying to figure out how to interact with Hugh’s new partner.

A close friend of Jackman shared, “The kids have found it difficult to accept Sutton into their father’s world, dealing with mixed emotions while feeling guilty about getting closer to her. It’s all a bit complicated, but Hugh hopes that time will heal the wounds. If they can get through this holiday season without any major conflicts, next year will be easier.”

Currently, the actor, best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men saga, is spending the holidays in his native Australia with his children. They are staying in his $12 million penthouse in North Bondi. Meanwhile, Deborra-Lee remains in their family home in New York, and it’s unclear whether she will reunite with her ex-husband and children for Christmas in Australia.

Sutton Foster, who ended her nearly 10-year marriage to screenwriter Ted Griffin, also has an adopted child, 7-year-old Emily. Foster is currently in Los Angeles, where she’s performing in the theatrical production Once Upon a Mattress.

Hugh and Sutton met while working together on the musical The Music Man, which ran from February 2022 to January 2023 at the Winter Garden Theatre on Manhattan’s Broadway. They became co-stars, portraying Harold Hill and Marian Paroo. The couple has been seen attending public events together, including the Broadway musical premiere. In September of the previous year, Hugh filed for divorce from Deborra-Lee.

The couple continues to nurture their relationship away from the spotlight, having recently reached a touching milestone when Sutton introduced Hugh to her daughter. “Hugh met Sutton’s daughter. Emily even calls him ‘Uncle Hugh,’” added the insider.
