How Taylor Swift Really Feels About Beyoncé Beating Her As Billboard’s Greatest Pop Star — Leaving Swifties Outraged!

The Bad Blood between Swifties and Billboard isn’t going to die down anytime soon, it appears. But don’t lump Taylor Swift in with her loyal fans on this one! She’s got nothing but love!

As you’ll recall, last week, the music magazine named Travis Kelce‘s girlfriend as the second greatest pop star of the 21st century. The only one to beat her? Beyoncé! So, it’s not like Taylor lost out to an unworthy singer. Queen Bey is one of the best to ever do it! Well in fact, according to Billboard after this ranking, she’s the BEST to ever do it! In this century, at least.

But that’s only part of the story. See, amid their reveal of the top two superstars in pop music, Billboard stepped in it BIG TIME when they used a clip of Taylor’s nude wax figure from Kanye West‘s super problematic Famous music video. No bueno! And then, to top it off, Swifties went nuclear on the mag for having the gall to name somebody other than the Cruel Summer artist to the top pop spot! For days, they ripped the mag a new one in Instagram comments and X (Twitter) replies!

However… Taylor herself feels no ill will towards the magazine or Beyoncé for losing out on the number one ranking! An insider spoke to DailyMail.com on Tuesday about the 34-year-old pop princess’ attitude about being number two:

“Taylor couldn’t be happier about this. Beyoncé has had her back since day one when Kanye tried to take her award away. At the time Taylor was getting her start and Beyoncé was already a massive superstar.”

And it says SO much that Taylor is taking it all the way back to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when Ye infamously interrupted her on stage and went to bat for Beyoncé (not at Queen Bey’s direction, we must add). Taylor and Beyoncé were forever linked in that moment, and it’s been like that ever since!

Now, tho, the DM insider claims Swift sees Bey as a “guiding light” in navigating the difficult music industry. They also revealed more about how Taylor views the 43-year-old Destiny’s Child alum today — so many years after Ye’s on-stage meltdown:

“Since the VMAs, Taylor has looked up to Beyoncé as a source of inspiration. She knows that she has been in this game longer and has had a massive influence.”

BTW, the source also had lots to say about the online backlash Billboard caught for not naming Swift to the top spot. To hear ’em tell it, Taylor is just so freakin’ diplomatic about the whole thing:

“While she is flattered that her fans are upset because they believe she should be number one, Taylor is humbled by the fact that she has built an empire.”

Humbled and happy! We stan a star gracious in defeat!

Oh, and as if all that isn’t enough, how about a dream team??

The source wrapped up these new revelations to the outlet by dropping a bomb: that the Fortnight singer might just hit up the Houston native for a collab one day. Seriously!! They said:

“[Taylor] is not against collaborating with [Beyoncé] one day. The two are close and in contact all the time.”
