Brad Pitt is ready to move on with his life after settling his decade-long divorce battle with Angelina Jolie at the end of last month!
As you may know, the actor has been dating the 32-year-old jewelry designer and ex-wife of Vampire Diaries alum Paul Wesley, Ines de Ramon, since 2022. After two years together, the couple is ready to take the next steps in their relationship! However, one thing has been standing in their way — Brad’s divorce from Angelina. So, in order for the couple to move forward with the plans for their future, the actor reportedly decided to finally close this nasty chapter. Yes, really!
According to a source for DailyMail.com on Tuesday, Brad only signed the divorce agreement earlier this week so he and Ines could get married — and soon! They apparently want to tie the knot at some point this year! The insider, who has ties to Brad, claimed:
“They are looking to get married in the next year, and Brad has settled because he wants to keep his children on side for his new marriage to go ahead.”
And they aren’t only talking about marriage! Brad and Ines also want children! The source added:
“Apparently, Ines is keen to have children too and pressured him to get it all sorted out as soon as possible.”
Wow! Who knew they were that serious?! Ultimately, the insider shared that Brad is “relieved” about the divorce settlement after spending years dealing with Angelina “dragging her feet” over it:
“Brad will be relieved that he can finally move on and marry again. He has wanted his divorce settled long before now, but he believes Angelina has been dragging her feet. Angelina will argue she has been fighting for the best deal for their family, but whatever the truth, it ultimately clears the path for him walking down the aisle with Ines.”
Not only is the Fight Club star looking forward to getting hitched in the near future now that the divorce is over, but he hopes this means he can start mending his relationships with his six kids — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. The source said:
“He will hope that he can build bridges with his children now that the divorce is finalized, but that looks like a long hard road.”
Given everything some of his own kids have done to distance themselves from Brad over the past few months, good luck with that. We don’t see it happening — not anytime soon, at least, but he can dream…
