s wife of over 20 years — and had welcomed a love child with another woman. And since then allegations have surfaced that he’s been stepping out on their marriage for years, with multiple women! Ugh! What a massive betrayal!
Dave made it seem like he wanted to keep his family together in his statement. However, actions speak louder than words! And his actions made us doubtful he’ll stick around! A report from People right after the big reveal claimed he had retained a divorce lawyer! And this happened BEFORE he announced the cheating scandal! Makes his statement appear a bit disingenuous now! When you add on the fact that both Dave and Jordyn have been seen without their wedding rings, it doesn’t look like they have a future together! Right?
But since then, reports have come out saying how much Dave wants to work things out. He’s even taken the steps to do so, including apologizing, showing her all the messages on his phone, and attending therapy. That said, it hasn’t been done without complaints. As a source for InTouch claimed:
“He’s gone from being rock god to scumbag overnight, it’s changed the dynamic and he hates it. He admits he was wrong, but he’s under total scrutiny, he has no freedom. He’s offering up phone text messages and constantly apologizing and going to therapy. He’s trying to be a good dad but at the same time it’s frustrating and he doesn’t understand that these things can take months, even years to fix.”
Once again, Dave has no one to blame but himself for the situation he is in. And if the rockstar wants to save his marriage, he can suck it up and do these things to gain back Jordyn’s trust. And quite honestly, things aren’t looking good for him in that department. At one point, a source claimed her “mind is not on her marriage” and “she doesn’t trust Dave.” Totally understandable!
However, weeks after the announcement, are things looking up for the pair? According to People on Friday, Dave called off the divorce attorney! What! A source said:
“He’s no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife.”
So, Dave really is committed to fixing things! Wow! A second insider added that the former Nirvana drummer “loves his family” and wants to do everything he can to keep them together:
“Dave’s been prioritizing his family. He knows he messed up. It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.”
Well, he should have thought about that before stepping out on his wife… again and again.
