Blake Lively takes her family to a Broadway show to celebrate her husband Ryan Reynolds’ birthday.

The “Deadpool & Wolverine” star’s 48th birthday was honored on Wednesday, and Blake Lively gave her husband, Ryan Reynolds, a fun-filled evening.

According to People, the former “Gossip Girl” star accompanied Reynolds and their three daughters to see a matinee showing of the Tony-nominated musical “& Juliet.”

“What should I get him for his birthday? For his birthday, what do you buy him? I am aware that he, I, and the children all enjoy musicals. Thus, it seemed like the appropriate decision! According to a source at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York City, Lively told the cast backstage following the show.

According to the insider, Lively and Reynolds exited the theater as huge fans of the performance. The 37-year-old actress said she was “blown away” by “how really well-written it is.”

“The kids want to come tomorrow,” Lively informed the cast, indicating that the show was also a huge hit with her daughters, James, 9, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5. They believe they are returning daily.

The well-known family went to the performance in silence, without their newest member, their one-year-old son, Olin.

According to the insider, Reynolds “started joking with the cast” backstage.

“I’ve never seen anything better in my life than this.” It’s absurd how talented all of you are. I’m such a fake; you guys are in show business! The insider remembered the star telling them, “I could never do what you all did.”

Reynolds was “very, very sweet and generous with his time,” according to a second source.

Blake couldn’t have been more kind either. They claimed to have stayed for a long time and truly made sure each actor felt valued and seen.

The group gathered to sing “Happy Birthday” to the “Proposal” star after some of them made jokes with the family.

Lively took several solo pictures of Reynolds on the Broadway stage, and the couple took pictures backstage with the actors.
