Ben Affleck has no interest in being besties with his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez!
According to Page Six on Friday, a source revealed that the 52-year-old actor has been “happier than he’s been in years” and is “in a much better mood lately.” Oh, we bet we know why! Not only has Ben officially closed that chapter with J.Lo since they were declared legally single last month, but he has been cozying up to another ex now! Which one? His other ex-wife, Jennifer Garner!
In case you missed it, shocking pictures came out earlier this week of Ben with his arm around the Alias alum during a paintball birthday party for their 13-year-old son Samuel last weekend And you guys, they looked sooo much like a couple! This came after another surprising report that the Argo director “would love another chance” with Garner! Wow! We guess there was something to all those romance rumors over the past couple of months!
No wonder why he is in such a good mood then! He’s spending time with the 13 Going on 30 star! The insider for Page Six says Ben is “excited” about this next era in life — one where it sounds like he doesn’t plan to see much of J.Lo anymore! They added:
“Ben hasn’t been in regular contact with Jennifer since their divorce unless it revolves around their kids’ school functions.”
While the source alleged the Oscar winner “has no hard feelings for Jennifer,” he just “would rather keep things at a distance.” Is it because he’s trying to win back Jennifer Garner? Something tells us that is the main reason here! Being pals with your ex-wife while attempting to get with your first ex-wife complicates things a little bit!
However, the source said he simply “doesn’t really see a point in remaining close friends” with the Dance Again singer following the divorce. Ouch. We understand, though. It’s not like the former couple have kids together, so they don’t have a reason to remain super close these days. But still, that is brutal!
Granted, J.Lo may want nothing to do with Ben now! She reportedly is not happy about the cozy pictures of the two. An insider also claimed she started to fear Ben cheated on her with Garner! She’s so hurt by how things have turned out that she’s even reportedly planning to get revenge!
