Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner seem to be attached at the hip these days — which is rare for a divorced couple! But according to new sources, this just shows how they’re totally on the same page these days.
Ben and Jen have been through a lot in the last few months. The actor’s been getting over his divorce from Jennifer Lopez and their community was just impacted by the devastating LA wildfires. Amid all this and co-parenting their three children, they really leaned on each other to get through the stress. A source told Page Six on Thursday that they’ve been “spending more time together than ever since they divorced.” More importantly, they “are closer than they’ve ever been since their divorce.”

But why? What suddenly changed? The insider credited a lot of the recent sightings to the current events, noting that “particularly since Ben’s divorce from Jennifer [Lopez] and with the LA fires and everything going on” the exes “have found themselves leaning on each other more than ever.” Sweet!
It’s also not lost on the performers how lucky they are. The confidant added that “they really do have a close bond” and “know not all exes get along as well and they feel very grateful that they have such an amazing relationship.” The source dished:
“Things between Ben and Jen were understandably rocky for a little while when they first divorced.”
They broke up for a reason. It’d be strange if there wasn’t at least a little animosity at first… But over the years, they’ve been able to sort it all out:
“They shared custody and were amicable when it came to situations involving their kids but over the years they’ve really built a close friendship and are on the same page in a lot of ways.”
The co-parents “feel like it’s only in everyone’s benefit involved to have a good relationship including themselves and their kids.”
Proving just how much they get along, they spent Thanksgiving and Christmas as a family unit, the insider pointed out:
“Ben and Jen’s kids really enjoy spending the holidays and family time together. It’s a really great cohesive unit.”
It’s amazing they’ve been able to get along so well! And during moments of stress and chaos, we bet their close bond makes life so much easier!
