For months fans have speculated — we thought perhaps irresponsibly even — that Ben’s old feelings for his ex may have returned. No, not Jennifer Lopez — that sequel has already come and gone and proved not to have much more character development than the original. No, we’re talking about the other Bennifer!
Ben and ex-wife Jennifer Garner — with whom he shares three children — have been spending an awful lot of time together since the divorce. The other divorce, from the other Jen. Damn, how does the Paycheck star keep track??
Part of this was coparenting, obviously. We’ve also heard Jen Garner was really helpful in being something of a counselor for Ben as he worked through yet another breakup. However, they seemed to be together all the time! Like… ALL the time! So yeah, fans wondered about THIS Bennifer giving it another go! After all, it’s Garner’s turn, right?
Well, get this! Those fans weren’t wrong! At least that’s what a new source close to Ben says! The insider told Page Six on Tuesday the Justice League star “would love another chance” with Jennifer Garner. The source claims — for his part at least — Ben “would definitely be open to giving things another shot with Jen if the timing is ever right.”
Wow! Seriously? What happened, he heard a new Daredevil show was dropping this week and got nostalgic??
For real, though, when did this happen? As she nursed him emotionally while he was recovering from the J.Lo breakup? OMG IS THIS WHAT HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME? IS HE REALLY JUST RE-LIVING HIS 2000s?!?
Well, whatever he’s thinking, the source says Ben knows the timing isn’t right:
“At the same time, Ben knows it’s just not realistic at this time in their lives. Ben just got out of a marriage and finalized his divorce, he is really busy with work and is focused on this new chapter.”
Um… is he too busy with work to remember Jen has a boyfriend?? No, he’s well aware of John Miller, the guy Jen has been dating since 2018. And despite what some might think he isn’t about to jeopardize that for his ex. The source says:

OK, but… how does Jen Garner feel about all this?? Amazingly, the outlet found another insider closer to her! And they spilled:
“The feeling is not mutual on Jen’s side. She’s happy with John and that’s just not where her head is at. She has a great co-parenting relationship with Ben, and that’s where things stand on her end at the moment.”
