Angelina Jolie Says Marriage To Brad Pitt Caused Her ‘Terrifying’ Health Issues

Angelina Jolie claims her marriage to Brad Pitt gave her ‘terrifying health issues.

The couple first met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith in 2003, when he was married to Jennifer Aniston.

Things happened quickly and they were together for 12 years, sharing 6 children.

In 2016, we were all left shocked when Jolie filed for divorce. After a long, arduous process – the divorce was finalized in 2024.

A heavily redacted FBI report, obtained by Entertainment Weekly, provided additional details about an alleged 2022 incident involving the couple.

According to the report, Pitt reportedly led Jolie to the back of a plane, where he allegedly grabbed her by the head and shoulders, shaking her while shouting, “You’re f***ing up this family.”

The Bullet Train actor allegedly continued by punching the ceiling of the plane four times.

The report claims that when Jolie opened the door, two of her children, whose names remain redacted, were crying and asked if she was okay. Pitt allegedly responded, “No, mommy’s not OK. She’s ruining this family.” It’s further alleged that he poured beer on Jolie while she was under a blanket with the children.

The FBI document also noted that the Department of Children and Family Services Bureau of Child Protection received a report alleging that a minor child had been assaulted.

Despite the redactions in the report, it detailed tensions between Pitt and the children, including an alleged remark where Pitt reportedly said, “That kid looks like a f***ing Columbine kid.”

At the time of their divorce, Jolie’s representative told People magazine, “Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time.”

A representative for Pitt refuted allegations of physical abuse, stating, “He is emphatic that it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed. He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that. He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was spiraling out of control.”

In another statement shared with U.S. outlets, Pitt’s team added, “Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one—unlike the other side—but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do. He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation. Thankfully, the various public authorities the other side has tried to use against him over the past six years have made their own independent decisions. Brad will continue to respond in court as he has consistently done.”

Since the plane incident, Jolie has made additional claims of physical abuse by Pitt, claiming that the issues began long before the alleged 2022 event.

In a 2023 interview with The Wall Street Journal, Jolie disclosed that her health had been impacted by stress, sharing that she was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy in 2017.

The Salt actress explained, “My body reacts very strongly to stress,” adding, “My blood sugar goes up and down. I suddenly had Bell’s palsy six months before my divorce.”

The Mayo Clinic describes Bell’s palsy as a condition that “causes sudden weakness in the muscles on one side of the face,” which can lead to facial paralysis.

While the exact cause remains unclear, experts believe it may result from inflammation or swelling of the nerve controlling facial muscles, potentially triggered by a reaction to a viral infection.
