Before the premiere of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Renée Zellweger sat down for an interview with co-star Hugh Grant.
The 55-year-old actress shared an embarrassing mishap from the 2005 Oscars, where she wore a stunning, form-fitting red Carolina Herrera gown with a train.
As Renée was leaving the event, a man accidentally stepped on the hem of her dress. “I kept walking in the opposite direction, and he ripped it right off under my bottom,” Renée recalled. The actress rushed home to change, only to realize she didn’t have her house key.
“So, I climbed up to the second-floor balcony and snuck into the bathroom door in that dress with a hole under my bottom,” she laughed.
Renée also opened up about her six-year break from acting. “I got tired of the sound of my own voice. When I was working, I’d think, ‘Oh, God, listen to yourself. Are you sad again, Renée? Is that your crazy voice again?’ It was like an eruption of the same emotions,” she explained.
Zellweger is currently dating British TV host Ant Anstead. She gave a rare comment about her partner, saying, “I live in Southern California, near San Diego, because that’s where my love and his little one live.” Ant has three children: 5-year-old Hudson with Christina Haack and two older children, 21-year-old Amelie and 18-year-old Archie, from his marriage to Louise Anstead.
