The tragedy in Los Angeles has claimed the lives of 11 people so far. Ben Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, has been actively helping the victims of the disaster. She admitted that she has a personal connection to the tragedy.
“I lost a friend. It’s very painful. I’m not sure I can talk about her just yet. She didn’t make it out in time,” Jennifer shared.
She expressed that her heart breaks when thinking about the people who have lost everything in the fires. “We’re talking about hundreds of families, over five thousand homes destroyed. Just thinking about it, I can name a hundred friends who have lost their homes,” the Hollywood star lamented. She said that she can’t walk through her own house without constantly thinking about what she can do to help those affected.
Jennifer is representing the charity organization Save The Children, which is currently providing shelter for families with children. “I’ve lived in the Palisades for over 25 years, and I think every local resident is only thinking about how to help right now,” Garner concluded.
The actress welcomed her ex-husband, Ben, into her home after he evacuated from the area affected by the fire. Jennifer allowed Affleck to stay with her temporarily. The actor was photographed by paparazzi as he emotionally reacted to the forest fires.
