Affleck is now seeking a partner who is involved in Alcoholics Anonymous and is in the process of overcoming addiction. “Ben needs someone who either battles addiction or at least understands the Alcoholics Anonymous program. He’s realized that if he wants a long-term, serious relationship, his partner must be someone who shares similar values and experiences,” an insider shared.
It seems that Jennifer Lopez never fully understood Ben’s struggles. She launched her own cocktail brand while married to him, despite the world being aware of his long battle with alcoholism.
“Ben’s next partner doesn’t necessarily have to be deeply involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, but she needs to be someone who respects the boundaries he’s set,” the source added.
