The American Heart Association has included songs by Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, Lady Gaga, and other artists in its list of tracks for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). These songs are said to match the rhythm used by doctors to save lives.
One post from the association expresses gratitude to Doja Cat, noting, “Red is our favorite color. And 100-120 beats per minute is our favorite tempo. If you see a teenager or adult lose consciousness, start hands-only CPR: call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest.”
Also featured in the playlist are Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” Enhypen’s “Bite Me,” among many others.
