Pop star Justin Timberlake has postponed his concert in New Jersey due to an unspecified injury. The performance was scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, October 8, at the Prudential Center in Newark.
“I’m really sorry to postpone tonight’s show,” Timberlake wrote in a blog post. “I have an injury that prevents me from performing. I’m so disappointed that I won’t be able to see you all—but I’m working to reschedule the show as soon as possible.”
The 43-year-old artist is currently on his world tour, “Forget Tomorrow.”
“I promise to make it up to you and put on the show you deserve,” Timberlake added. “Thank you all for your understanding. I always appreciate your support.”
Fans immediately flooded the post with comments, wishing the singer a speedy recovery.
“Get well soon, Justin, and don’t apologize for being human,” wrote one fan.
Timberlake’s injury came just a few days after he and his wife, Jessica Biel, celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary at his concert in Montreal.
“My wife is here tonight. And tonight is our 12th anniversary,” he said during the performance. “So be nice to her, Montreal, because tonight she’s watching me with all of you,” he concluded.
